After completing her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and graduating with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2007, Dr. Oxley moved to the Indianapolis area where she practiced for 15 years.
During the 2021/2022 winter break, Dr. Oxley moved back to Fort Wayne with her husband, Dr. Ealing, and their twin sons. They also share their home with a 3 legged cat named Peggy I-Lean and a bearded dragon. For Dr. Oxley, most mornings in the clinic are spent in surgery, which she enjoys. She also enjoys working as a team with her clients to keep pets healthy. Dr. Oxley has a passion for education. Because veterinary medicine, like most science fields, is so rapidly changing, she loves learning about new technologies, therapies, medications, and research being done to help animals have great quality of life as part of our families. When she is away from the clinic, Dr. Oxley enjoys a number of activities with her family like bike riding and walking outside. She loves to read in her quiet time and enjoys music and theater. She greatly enjoys learning new things like knitting and crocheting. |
Dr. Oxley joined the Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian in January of 2022.
Dr. Oxley grew up in Fort Wayne in a family that always included dogs. During her childhood, her family had beagles as well as labrador rescues. She has always been interested in medicine and healing. Growing up, it always broke her heart if a pet was sick or hurting and she wanted to do something to help them. In high school, she was able to job shadow at the local veterinary emergency hospital. As a child she learned to play a number of woodwind instruments and received a music scholarship in undergraduate school for playing the oboe. |
