About Dr. Starr

Outside of the Clinic

Dr. Starr joined the Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic in July of 2024 as an Associate Veterinarian.
Dr. Starr grew up in a small, rural town in western Pennsylvania. While shadowing at a veterinary clinic her junior year of college, she discovered her passion for veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She worked at a small animal practice in St. Louis for 4 years. During the summer of 2023, she and her husband, David, moved to Pennsylvania where she worked at a small animal practice while her he finished his medical fellowship. Dr. Starr and her husband are excited to be living in Fort Wayne and to put down roots.

Dr. Starr enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her son, reading fantasy novels, crocheting, and swimming. She also loves playing the flute in community bands. Her family loves to spend time outdoors and they are looking forward to exploring our wonderful trails and surrounding state parks.

Dr. Starr has 2 cats named Prince and Sergeant Jack Meows.
