The Origin of Hannah
Hannah joined the Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic team in May of 2022. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago (Go Blackhawks!), Hannah and her family moved to the Fort Wayne area in 2018. She began working with animals as a kennel attendant in high school. At this point she fell in love with seeing all paws of life which grew her thirst for knowledge and led her to graduate from the Vet Tech Institute in Chicago in 2013.
Hannah's Career at the Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic
Hannah at Home
Hannah is happily married to her husband, Blake, and they have one amazing toddler named Eason. They share their home with 2 rescue pitties, Meridia and Kaydo. When she is away from the clinic she can often be found enjoying time at home with her family or enjoying the lake life. She also enjoys crafting, playing board games with friends, and kayaking.
As an RVT, Hannah loves being able to not only provide a voice for and comfort to all animals, but also being able to perform a wide range of clinical care for her patients. As a RVT, she wears many hats, all of which are fulfilling and can also be very difficult. As with any medical field, it is a career that requires continuing education and growth. Hannah can often be found in the exam rooms assisting the doctors as a room tech. This means that she is in charge of restraining the animals as necessary as well as performing any venipuncture (drawing blood) and running lab work when required. When assisting in surgery, she acts as the anesthesiologist and radiologist for the doctors.
